Back in January, Plex for Android received a pretty substantial update that brought over many Material elements to the interface. However, that was only the beginning as the app has now been brought up to version 4.0 with the complete redesign.
To begin with, most of the changes are for the mobile app. The home dashboard has been completely redesigned and now offers your recently played content as well as your latest additions to Plex. There is also a new navigation menu that gives you quick access to all areas of the app. The real focus here, according to the Plex developers, is to give both regular and shared users the same kind of experience.
As far as the Android TV feature is concerned you can now gain access to it either with a Plex Pass or by activating it via an in-app purchase as the preview period is now officially over. The updated app can be found in Google Play and (surprisingly) the Amazon Appstore.
