We already knew that the mobile version of Mortal Kombat X would be arriving in April but the game has had a strange launch, especially on Android. After soft-launching in a small number of countries, it appears that the game is now finally available across both Android and iOS and for all users worldwide.
Fans of the franchise will be pleased to know that the mobile game truly holds nothing back as all the violence, blood and disgusting gore of the previous games has made its way into the mobile version too. Fatalities and X-Rays are both present and the graphics of the game are truly spectacular which makes for some fantastic entertainment. The controls are of course what you would expect with swipes and taps resulting in different moves for your character.
Users are invited to compete with up to 2 more players for brutal 3v3 fights that will let you unlock new moves and extra collectibles. Players who link their mobile accounts with the console version will unlock rewards by playing the game in both platforms, including “ultra rare characters like Klassic Kitana and Injustice Scorpion”.
As I said before, the game features some very high quality visuals and is not optimized for devices with less than 1GB of RAM. It also requires a minimum of 1.5GB but I am sure you can make some room in your device. Finally, IAP might turn out to be problematic as they run from $1.99 to a truly ridiculous $99.99. Early responses are very positive though so that gives me hope.
