Blizzard’s popular card game Hearthstone [iOS, Android] has been extremely popular ever since it was first released on PC as a beta, and now that it has moved to multiple mobile platforms — the popularity continues to grow. One thing that a lot of players have noticed and complained about with the mobile versions, is how the game be a bit laggy even on high-end devices. Fortunately, Blizzard has remedied that situation by providing full 64-bit support to cater a bit more towards newer devices. The change has pretty much obliterated any non-latency related lag, and the game is extremely smooth in all areas now.
Now, if you’re not running a mobile device that supports 64-bit, you won’t notice a visual difference with the latest update. This applies to the iPad Air 1 and beyond, as well as the iPhone 5S and beyond, with various Android devices also being compatible. If you’ve got a 64-bit device, I highly recommend you go check out the new update to see how big of a difference it really makes.
Other minor updates include a new card back (seen above), which is Heroes of the Storm (Blizzard’s MOBA, still in beta) themed. You are also now able to purchase multiple packs of cards at once, as opposed to just one at a time. All in all, this is another great update for Hearthstone, and Blizzard continues to prove their game development excellence on multiple platforms.
