Apple will use Asian suppliers to increase tablet and smartphone production

Apple has plans to boost the production of their tablets and phones to meet the market demands. According to a Wall Street Journal release, later this year Apple will be using Taiwan-based Wistron Corp. to manufacture iPhone 5C, the budget version of the latest iPhone. The same company is already producing smartphones for Nokia and BlackBerry.

Next year, Apple also intends to assign Compal Communications Inc. with the task of assembling their iPad Mini tablet. Compal is currently making Smartphones for Sony and Nokia, and tablets for Lenovo. The information is coming from unknown sources, but apparently Apple is having difficulties in maintaining an adequate stock of iPhone 5S smartphones as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., their main assembler is not able to raise the production as fast as needed.
